Hi Chivers!!! Thanks for blowing up my Twitter last week with your kind comments, wow. A little about myself. I've always been naturally thin with a long lean frame. I try to eat as healthy as I can but I eat the crap out of pizza & hamburgers a few times a week just like everyone. No, I've never had plastic surgery. I always try to respond to tweets but sometimes it takes a spell. You'll usually get a response when you least expect it :) I'm a sports girl. I love watching basketball and football. The atmosphere of game day just kinda' gets me. Im secretly addicted to Dexter. And I've been a lurking Chivette for a year. I'm was so flattered to be the Chivette o' the Week! Thanks again, Chivers. xoxo and KCCO, AshleySay hello to Ashley on her Twitter.
Sup Chive? I'm Tara from Vancouver, Canada. I wasn't quite sure what to tell you about myself so here goes… When I'm not busy pretending to be a model, I'm a barista at Starbucks. One of the things I love about the Chivettes is we're normal gals, eh? I like to scroll the chive (obvs), play xbox, watch reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, stay up real late watching cartoons, drawing, smoking hookah, eating souls, you know. Normal stuff. I'm a big fangirl. I like Star Wars, Joss Whedon, comic books, hot sauce, and I have a very unhealthy obsession with MC Chris. Until I'm established and have some kind of career goals I guess i'll just continue sending all my silly pictures to The Chive, eating cheeseburgers, and charming the population with my wit and comedic expertise. I hope you've enjoyed the Tara Sebela experience. Since I'm socially awkward have no friends, so I'd really love it if you gave me a shout on my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter. I'm really honored to be your Chivette of the Week. Chivers are the best kind of people and meeting them is always awesome. So go ahead, talk nerdy to me. Chive on! PS- The rumours are true. Red heads totally glow in the dark.
Hi Chivers! I grew up in Cobleskill, the smallest town in upstate New York. After school I was tired of the NY theater scene (although NY will always have my heart) so I moved to LA. I'm out here loving life and enjoying time with my friends, who happen to be smoking hot. Even though I may appear to be a girly girl (as I am with some things), I'm not your typical 'LA' girl... at all (that's now how Chivettes roll in general I noticed). I'd much rather grab a beer at a dive bar than go to some trendy wine bar or club. I'm lucky to be doing what I love for a living and I spend more time on theCHIVE than I should, my friends are all hooked too. Most importantly, I love that the Chive has a heart. I always read the comments and I can't believe how nice all the Chivers are considering the internet can be a cynical place sometimes. Keep doing what your doing. I'm honored to be a part of it all. Hey Chivers!! Before I get into all the stuff about me, I want to thank everyone of you who got me where i’m at! When I saw all the comments and heard about the messages asking me to be COTW, I was in total shock. You guys are badass, so thanks! Anyway, as some of you noticed in the pictures, I’m a college student living in Michigan. I haven’t really figured out what I want to do yet, but I’m getting my degree anyway. For now i’m studying Fine Arts & Communication, leaning towards graphic design. Other than that, I’m a pretty down to earth girl. I love just hangin’ out and cracking jokes with friends! I travel every chance I get, i love playing my guitar, and love, love, love riding horses!! I spend way too much time on theChive (actually, I take that back.. you can never spend too much time on theChive!) I’m always down for a cold beer (but i’ve gotta have some pizza with it), and I’m a total sucker for the Tigers, Redwings, and American fast cars. Thats just a little bit of me in a nutshell! I’m really looking forward to meeting you fellow Chivers now that I’ve had this awesome opportunity! It’s really cool knowing people all over the world are Keepin’ Calm and Chivin’ On! I hope to get a chance like this again, you guys ROCK! P.s. For all you Chivers overseas serving your Country, I'd like to give a special thanks to you for everything you're doing. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for you guys!! KCCO.Jordan's (really) looking forward to meeting Chivers on her Twitter Page.
Hey Chivers! Can’t explain how excited I am to be Chivette of the Week! To even be considered on the same caliber of women that represent this post is an honor. My name is Kaycie and while I live in Idaho, I’m from Colorado. I’m a petite 5’3” and nearing my 21st birthday. Overall, I’m just a really simple, fun-loving girl. I’m painfully shy when I first meet people, but once you get to know me I’m a wild child. I love to hang with the guys, but also love to get dolled up with my girls. It’s just finally starting to warm up here, which means a few of my favorite things in life: camping, fishing, wakeboarding, and floating down the river on inflatable mattresses. Ever since my friend introduced me to the Chive, I’ve been hooked. It’s great to see a community of people who are so kind to one another. No doubt, the Chivers are great to their Chivettes! It is great to know that ordinary girls like myself can be appreciated for their natural beauty. So to the Chivers, thanks for all your support! It’s greatly appreciated, more than you know! Once again, I'm honored to represent all the smokin' chivettes this week. Keep Calm and Chive On, everyone! Thanks, Kaycie
Hey Chivers, Well how do I write about myself? I'll try to keep it as simple as possible! My name is Haley, my friends call me Hales, family and some close friends call me booboo or wiggles. Laugh it up. Also, I couldn't have a better family! I have worked independently, I've owned a business for quite a while now. I am a mobile stylist for weddings, grads, photo shoots, and other events. I love what I do. My passions are cooking and fitness, I love cooking for large groups of people. I'm 21 years old, an old soul with a young heart. I like to climb trees as a kid, I still do… like, a lot. So since everyone is probably wondering what my tattoo says, I'll just hint that it is a paragraph of merged Audrey Hepburn quotes. My dorky side is very dear to me because I try to stay beautiful inside by being kind to others. I'm the polar opposite of a girly-girl. I loathe shopping, malls, makeup, and I don't watch 'Gossip Girl'. Lastly, I'd like to give a shout out to my small home town of Stony Plain/Spruce Grove, Alberta. There's a lot of Chivers here and I'm so proud to be your Chivette. I love the Chive! Keep Calm & Chive On Chivers and Chivettes!Say hello to Haley on her Twitter page.
Well Chivers, I used to work for Santa's Workshop...but I worked as a nude model for an artist last week and I liked it so… don't tell Santa. This is my last year at UNH and then I plan to join the Peace Corps. My life is pretty random. Things just kind of happen to me, but I Keep Calm and Chive On through it all. I have three dogs named (you Cosplayers out there you'll love this) Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, and Yoda. Yoda is my puppy. I've got a booty… I do. Above all things I believe in doing what makes you happy, so I jump in puddles whenever I can and am always there when someone needs me! I've been such a fan of all Chivettes and I'm so honored to be the Chivette of the Week. This community is something special. I only recently decided to post photos and am flattered by all the positive feedback! KCCO, Emily
Hey fellow Chivers, Firstly, thanks SO much for the rad comments and the all around nice things you guys had to say, you're the reason I'm doing this. When John asked me to be COTW I almost passed out- that's so badass! It's an honor to be a Chivette, let alone a Chivette of the Week! Well, I was asked to talk a little bit about myself, so here goes. About 4 years ago, I traded in tiaras and heels for an M-16. I went from Miss Teen of the Nation to a Medic in the Air Force Reserve. By far it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done, and I hope that I can continue doing awesome things. On the civilian side, I am actually a geek working at a software development company. Anything that involves being outdoors is what I love the most. Hiking, camping, geocaching, kayaking, and enjoying the sunshine puts a smile on my face. I am down to earth and not afraid to get dirty or work hard for the things I want. Cooking is my secret passion, and cupcakes deserve their own food group. Yep. One thing I would love to do in my life is travel to each continent and experience the different cultures and foods from all over the place and meet cool people. Or marry a pro athlete... HA! Well, that's me in a nutshell! Thanks again guys for the support and the hundreds of emails and friend requests! You rock! KCCO!
